Important security alert: Phishing emails targeting Westpac Share Trading customers

We have recently become aware of phishing emails being sent that falsely appear to be from Westpac Share Trading. These emails may ask you to click a link and log in to confirm your details or provide additional account information. The links in these emails may lead to fraudulent websites designed to capture your login information.

We want to reassure you that Westpac Share Trading systems remain secure, and there has been no breach of customer data.

Westpac Share Trading will never send you a link directly to our sign in page or request your personal or financial information. To securely access Westpac Share Trading, type sharetrading.westpac.com.au/login into your browser or use the Westpac Share Trading mobile app.

How to protect yourself

  • Always check the URL of any link before entering your login details
  • Always check the email sender name, sender email address and domain
  • Only log in via the official Westpac Share Trading website, Westpac Share Trading mobile app, or through the Westpac Banking Website or App
  • Be cautious of emails creating urgency or requesting personal or account information
  • Do not click on links or download attachments from suspicious messages

What to do if you receive a suspicious email

  • Do not click any links or provide your details
  • Delete the email immediately
  • If you’re unsure, contact us directly on 13 13 31
