Start of Daylight Saving Time – Sunday, 4 October 2026

Daylight saving time will commence in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory at 2:00am on Sunday, 4 October 2026, when clocks are set forward by one hour.

Daylight saving time does not apply to the Northern Territory, Queensland or Western Australia.

The ASX will operate on Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) for all states from the commencement of Pre-Open on Monday, 5 October 2026.
